I’m working on an app. Anyone else here experienced, or doing the same and willing to talk more about the technical and other issues of mobile app deployment?

Hi Susan, I’m also working on an app, but am just at the wire framing stage. Shoot me an email and we can figure out when to chat to see if there might be overlap. Email is best: songonza@gmail.com.

What software tools are you using? There seem to be so many nice templates (like Twitter Bootstrap) for web sites that incorporate reactive css that sometimes think building a mobile app isn’t worth the trouble. Other times I still think it is.

I sketched out ideas on paper, but sort of feel picking a good model that you copy and then customize can help you to make good design choice without even knowing it. Unless of course you want to learn every last detail, or you’re already experienced.

In my case, a good designer has far too much on me, and there seems to be so many consideration. For example, I remember reading that iOS users prefer navigation on the bottom and Blackberry prefer them on top and so many other things that I never crossed my mind! Also, documentation can be a disaster, so if you don’t have someone to ask, a model can be a wonderful thing.
